Members of Chugwater FBLA were recognized for their skills at the Spring Leadership Extravaganza & Celebration (SLEC) held March 5 at the Wyoming State Fair Grounds in Douglas, Wyoming. The state conference, originally scheduled in March, was cancelled due to weather. Students competed in events with online tests as well as recorded and online, live performances. Allie Van Why, sophomore, was awarded 2nd place in Impromptu Speaking, 3rd place in Job Interview, and 4th place in Agribusiness. Megan Sagner, freshman, was awarded 1st place in Job Interview and 2nd place in Introduction to Business Communication. “I am very proud of Allie and Megan,” said Chugwater FBLA Advisor, Frances Caster. “They worked very hard and were flexible with all the changes in the conference format.” Also in attendance was Mrs. Kellie Jo Williams Chugwater Schools Principal, Frances Caster, advisor and Mike Van Why, parent.
Mrs. Frances Caster was recognized for retiring last year but coming back to help the school have an FBLA Chapter. Thank you Frances for your dedication!
