WHERE DID SALSA COME FROM? Salsa is a popular form of social dance that originated in New York City with strong influences from Latin America, particularly Puerto Rico, and Cuba in the 1970’s.
WHO CREATED THE SALSA DANCE? Salsa dance was created by Spanish-speaking people living in the Caribbean and North America. Although salsa is a common Latin ballroom dance formed by couples, it can also be done solo or as a line dance.
